Leaders Wymeswold Cons finally lost their 100% record in the League this season following a 2-2 draw at home with Syston Social Club.  There was little between the sides in the opening exchanges but two narrow wins put the visitors into an unexpected 2-0 lead.  Chasing 29 for victory in the 3rd Leg, Syston were well placed after an 8,7 start but somehow contrived to lose the leg by just one pin.  Given a lifeline, Wymeswold then rediscovered their composure to post the highest leg of the evening and salvage a share of the points with an excellent 39 in the final leg.  Pete Shaw and Ian Merryweather both contributed 26 for the home side while Rob Slater top scored for Syston with 24.

Second placed Syston Cons B were able to close the gap slightly on the leaders following a 3.5-0.5 win at home to struggling Carington Cons.  On a night when the alley proved very unforgiving for both teams, the home side just did enough to keep their noses in front and remain in second place in the League, 8 pts behind the leaders with a game in hand.   Syston's Malc Sibson top scored with 22 as just three players across the two sides managed 20 or more on the night.

Top House continued their excellent recent away form with a comprehensive 4-0 victory at Queniborough Wanderers.  The home side were heavily outscored on their own alley with Top House posting three legs of 30+ to underline their dominance and consolidate their position in mid table.  Chris Fowler top scored for the visitors with 23 while John Pratt became only the second player this season to post more than one 9.

Carington Arms made it two maximum 4-0 victories in a row after a wide margin win over bottom of the League Sileby WMC.  Sileby had no answer to some heavy scoring from the home side who posted their highest four leg aggregate home or away for more than five years.  Nigel Hough with 26, Kev Troop with 25 and Rob Woods with 24 ensured the home side maintained their comfortable advantage throughout the evening.  Steve Taggart's 21 was the highlight for a well beaten Sileby side.
