Wymeswold Cons continue to edge closer to securing this season's title after a 3-1 victory at Queniborough Wanderers left them needing just two and a half points from their final two matches to confirm back-to-back League titles.  Despite losing the opening leg for only the second time in fourteen matches this season, they soon drew level before taking the 3rd leg by one pin to edge ahead.  The win was confirmed after Wymeswold's solid 34 in the final leg proved too much for the home side to chase down.  Ian Merryweather top scored for Wymeswold with 22 on the night.

Second placed Syston Cons B went a long way to securing the runners-up spot with a 3-1 win at home against their nearest challengers, Syston Social Club.  The Social Club were quickly into their stride with a 37 opening leg to take an early lead.  However, the wheels came off in the 2nd leg as they posted a miserly 18 to allow the home side to level.  Syston Cons then hit top form and they followed up an excellent 39 in the 3rd leg by chasing down 35 in the final leg to register the victory.  On a night of high scoring, the two sides posted the highest match aggregate of the season with 253 pins between them.  Chris Buxton and Mike James both hit 26 for the home side and were ably supported by Dave Clark's 25 while Dave Palethorpe top scored for the visitors with 25.

Carington Arms and Top House played out a 2-2 draw at the Melton British Legion.  It was nip and tuck throughout the night and the visitors will be thinking they were unlucky not to have gone away with more after the home side's wins in legs 1 and 3 were both secured by just the one pin.  Jock Kerr and Brian Holmes top scored for the visitors with 23 apiece.  Top House are now unbeaten in their last five away games which have included four draws and have further consolidated their fourth place in the League which would match last year's finishing position.

Congratulations to Carington Cons who ended a remarkable run of 23 matches without a win by securing a 3-1 victory away to Barrow Cons, a sequence which extends back to November 2024.  The visitors came from 1-0 down to take the next three legs, helped enormously by the home sides failure to hit a 20 leg in any of the final three legs of the night.  It should be noted that Carington's total score of 88 pins was the lowest match aggregate of any winning side in the League this season.  The win saw Carington move off the bottom of the table at the expense of Sileby WMC.
